Yakima County Fire District #5 Maintenance Division

Yakima County Fire District #5’s Maintenance Facility sits in downtown Zillah. The 5400 sq. ft. building allows the shop to perform repair and maintenance on the district’s fleet of almost 100 pieces of apparatus. These apparatus include command vehicles, pumpers, tenders, grass units, rescue units, support units, utility vehicles, maintenance vehicles, dozers, transport semi’s, trailers and small tools and equipment. The shop is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Fire District’s twenty-six buildings.

Work performed in our maintenance facility includes pump repair and overhauls, preventative maintenance of apparatus in our fleet, vehicle and equipment inspections and general repair of apparatus
